HIGH TG PCB
High Tg PCB performs better and has higher stability at higher temperatures.
◈ A high Tg PCB is a PCB assembly with a glass transition temperature higher than 170 ℃. The higher the TG value, the better the temperature resistance of the PCB. The Glass Transition Temperature (Tg). The standard Tg value of ordinary PCB is between 120 ℃ and 170 ℃. High Tg PCB performs better and has higher stability at higher temperatures.
◈ The Glass Transition Temperature (Tg) is one of the most important properties of any epoxy and is the temperature region where the polymer transitions from a hard, glassy material to a soft, rubbery material.
◈ Various test methods ensure the quality, such as AOI test, E-Test, X-RAY, impedance tester, high temperature and high humidity, thermal shock, high and low temperature cycle and other advanced test technologies.

WHAT IS A HIGH TG PCB? CHARACTERISTICS OF HIGH TG PCB?
◈ Tg is the glass transition temperature of PCB. The circuit board must be flame resistant, cannot burn at a certain temperature, and can only be softened. The temperature point at this time is called glass transition temperature (Tg point), which is related to the dimensional stability of PCB. The higher the TG value, the better the temperature resistance of PCB.
High Tg PCB performs better at higher temperatures, with higher stability and stronger heat resistance.
Conventional high temperature resistant PCB materials include Shengyi S1000-2, ISOLA 370HR, ITEQ-IT-180A, etc.
◈ What are the characteristics of high TG PCB?
High Tg refers to high heat resistance. With the rapid development of the electronic industry,
especially the electronic products represented by computers, precision instruments, communication equipment, etc., which are developing towards high functionality and high multilayer, higher heat resistance of PCB substrate materials is required as an important guarantee.
◈ This is due to the unique characteristics of high Tg materials, as shown below:
THE NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR HIGH TG CIRCUIT BOARDS
The following table shows the basic materials used to produce high Tg PCBs:
THE METHODS OF HEAT DISSIPATION IN HIGH TG PCB
If you want to protect your PCB from high temperature during the equipment process, you need to select a high Tg PCB. Therefore, there are three important methods to dissipate the heat generated by electronic products with high Tg PCBs.
They are as follows:
The heat generated by conduction cools down. It does this by placing the radiator directly on its heat source. In this way, it allows heat to flow from the source - similar to the way electricity flows in a system.
Radiant heat dissipates by creating a direct path for electromagnetic wave separation.
Convective heat is dissipated by transferring heat to water or air. Therefore, it allows water or air to flow out of a specific area. A good example is the process of using a process or fan to push air across a surface while carrying away heat through the equipment.
ADVANTAGES OF USING HIGH TG PCB:
◈ It allows thin base plates, small apertures and fine routing.
It has improved dimensional stability, mechanical strength and solid interlayer adhesion against various temperature changes.
◈ High temperature resistance and excellent performance.
Increased stability, humidity, enhanced heat and chemical resistance
◈ High temperature PCB application
High Tg PCB is widely used in automotive electronics, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, automotive electronics and electronic applications, general applications, etc.
The following are some examples of high temperature PCB applications:

Under normal circumstances, the listed high Tg materials can be replaced by technically similar equipment. However, if you have specific requirements, you can communicate with our technical team.
This technical option shows the thermal expansion level of the substrate. Therefore, it represents the z axis. A lower CTE-z value works better than a higher Tg value - which means absolute expansion.
The T260 and T288 values represent the delamination time of the test material at 260oC and 280oC, respectively.
